SeSen no RockYou!!2025

The Spirit of Hosting
Thank you for your continued support.

First held in Kansai in 2023, this marks our third year.
Last year's “Youth Continues” event once again brought together many friends from across the nation.
That we can hold this event again is entirely thanks to all The‰ members—I am filled with gratitude and respect.

One member who attended last year told us,
“You guys are definitely making participants' lives happier.”
Hearing that filled me with immense joy and honor, while also making me feel a renewed sense of responsibility.

Members carve out time from their busy lives to practice for this day,
sometimes coming to practice sessions,
sometimes distributing posters and flyers,
sometimes discussing how to grow our membership.

Yes.
I felt once again that RockYou!! is deeply connected to the lives of every single member.
And what a wonderful thing it is to have friends with whom you can share unforgettable “best moments” in life.

With these thoughts in mind, the theme we decided on this time is...

『 That's LIFE 』

 Please keep this in mind.

Now, let's announce the event details and application guidelines. Please read them carefully before applying!
I'm truly looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Finally

This is also our core concept: our participants come from diverse backgrounds—varying nationalities, ages, and skill levels. Let's set that aside, support each other, and enjoy ourselves together.
We want this day to be one where everyone discovers:
“Playing music together is this much fun!”
“Connecting with others through music is this thrilling!”
Practice as much as possible leading up to the day, and let's create a sound that only the 1000 participants present can produce!

As I always emphasize, it's crucial we finish safely and without incident.
For smooth, safe progress, the teamwork of every single member of the ‘Sen no RockYou!! (The ‰)’ band is essential.
Let's deliver the ultimate team performance!!

Details of the songs we'll be playing together that day

Song List ① ※Reference Video (Please practice using the original audio source as a baseline)

● It's My Life / Bon Jovi
Last time, I defined youth as “those times when I was simply enthralled by the sound, the melody, the rhythm—without even understanding the lyrics.”
Yet, when you listen knowing the meaning behind the words, you often discover new layers and feel even deeper emotions.

“That's LIFE”

This is both our theme and Frank Sinatra's timeless classic. In the song, he sings:
"Up and down, over and out. Every time I fell, I picked myself up and got back in the race. That's life."
In his world-famous song “My Way,” Frankie (Frank Sinatra's nickname) proudly sings:
“I walked my own way.”

Now, this song “It's My Life.”
Please search for it and read.
Unlike the resigned consolation in the earlier “That's Life”—
“That's life”—
you'll see this song celebrates life with a declaration:
“This is (my) life!”

And if you now understand why I mentioned Frank Sinatra first, and grasp a little why we chose this song, I'd be truly delighted.

Thousands of RockYou!! members gather here, each carrying their own life stories.
Everyone has their struggles—fighting, giving up, sometimes tormented by unbearable pain, other times soaring with joy.
How proud and beautiful it is to see people living while wrestling with life.
That's LIFE
All of it together—life is wonderful and precious.
That's what I believe.

● Bon Jovi - It's my life (Rocknmob #2)
 = RocknMob Official Channel=
This is the official video of the second Rock'n'Mob event held at Gorky Park in Moscow on July 30, 2016, performing “It's My Life” (Bon Jovi).
Approximately 130 musicians gathered to play the song.

We really want to perform with 1,000 musicians.

●  Shinya kosoku(Midnight Expressway) / Flower Companyz
“Still playing at youth while traveling on”

These opening lyrics resonated deeply with us, feeling like a continuation of last year's theme, “Youth Continues.”
This song also played when we contemplated this year's theme, “That's LIFE”—what life truly means.

Now in its third year, sharing these moving moments with you all through a thousand RockYou!! sessions—after each performance, we feel “I'm glad to be alive.” Let's all go searching for those moments together, wholeheartedly.

★Performance notes will be updated later. Listen carefully to the original song!

● Flower Companyz 『Midnight Expressway [LIVE at Tokyo Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall (2013.4.21)]』
= From the Flower Campanies Official YouTube Channel =
Japan's top live band, Flower Campanies.
This is the [LIVE at Tokyo Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall (2013.4.21)] version of their classic song “Midnight Expressway,” included on their best album ‘New Flower Campanies Introduction (2008-2013)’—released as the first project commemorating their 25th anniversary—and also featured on the simultaneously released live DVD & Blu-ray ‘Flower Campanies Live 2013’.

● Jounetsu no Bara / THE BLUE HEARTS
This year is also the year of the World Expo. At the 1970 Expo, amidst the celebration of progressivism,
the “Tower of the Sun” is said to have taken the exact opposite theme. It's about something fundamental to humanity.
And in the lyrics of this year's theme song, “Jounetsu no bara,” it sings, “Is there anything that never changes, no matter how much time passes?”

In recent times, as digital technology and AI rapidly develop and spread, making life incredibly convenient, I often wonder where the truly important things lie and what only we can do.

I believe “Sen no RockYou!!” is one answer to that question.
And I believe each of you also has your own cherished answer.

“The answer surely lies deep within, deep within the heart.”

● TRAIN-TRAIN / THE BLUE HEARTS
Alright, here's our signature song “TRAIN-TRAIN”!

I've written a lot, but
just having someone you can think, “I want to hold you tight under this romantic starry sky,”
makes life worthwhile. Let's all sing along together again this year!

★★★Performance Notes★★★

● Same as last year. Start with the keyboard at the agitator's signal, then follow the original song.
※ The final chorus goes on and on and on...

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

● TRAIN-TRAIN / THE ‰
= From last year's “Sen no RockYou!! 2024” =
TRAIN-TRAIN has grown even larger since 2023.
A masterpiece remains wonderful no matter how many times you listen to it, watch it, or perform it.

● TRAIN-TRAIN / THE ‰
= From the inaugural “Sen no RockYou!! 2023” =

How many times have I watched it myself? Each viewing brings back the same profound emotion.

I'm already looking forward to seeing what kind of performance it will be this year!

The following four pieces shall be the assigned pieces.

While everyone has their own musical preferences, I've chosen songs that absolutely everyone can enjoy together. Trust me and follow along!
All songs are in the same key as the original versions.
The arrangements for group performances will be announced later. (No major changes will be made.)
Please listen to these assigned songs thoroughly. You'll definitely understand the reasoning behind my selections.

Q&A
We will update based on actual inquiries we have received.

  • Q:My elementary school-aged child would like to participate. Should I register for membership under the child's name?

A:On the day of the event, we will prepare backstage passes in your child's name, so we would appreciate it if you could register using your child's name. If the accompanying adult is not performing, please write the name and relationship of the accompanying adult in the remarks section.
  • Q:I requested a drum rental. Does the set include a chair, mat, and other accessories?

A:Drum rentals come with a basic setup, so you only need to bring your sticks, just like when you go to a music studio.
  • Q:Is attendance at practice required at least once?

A:Regarding the practice session, attending is sure to make the event day more enjoyable, as you'll get to know people and get a feel for the atmosphere. In fact, last year we had participants joining us on the day from places like Hokkaido. Please rest assured that the practice session is not mandatory.
  • Q:Is member registration contingent upon confirmed participation?

A:Some members have registered just to see how things go next year. If you don't mind receiving occasional notification emails, please register. ※ However, band member IDs will be assigned after joining.
